Be Wary of SEO Companies Claims
Many SEO companies will claim to give you top 10 ranking for 500+ search engines at a great price.
The fact is that Google, MSN, and Yahoo comprise over 97% of all internet searches, and most other
search engines rent the Google, MSN, or Yahoo search results. PWS focuses on the search engines
that matter and doesn't try to fool its clients with tricky wording; PWS are always available to
answer any questions and to educate the client through the SEO process.
Another trick commonly used by SEO companies is to guarantee a top 10 ranking, this is an
ambiguous claim. What they fail to mention is that they will give you a top 10 placement for a
search term with little competition. Instead of getting a top 10 ranking for a term like 'Toronto
Apartments' where there are hundreds of thousands of competiting pages and a lot of potential traffic, they
will guarantee a top 10 ranking for a term like 'great apartments in South Etobicoke' where there are far
less competing pages and therefore far less potential traffic. This makes it easy for SEO companies
to back their claim and achieve a top 10 ranking, but it does little to bring the kind of traffic a proper SEO
strategy should.

Don't be fooled by 'HITS', 'VISITORS' are what's IMPORTANT!
Recently a number of clients have been inquiring about their statistics information, or more
accurately; about the number of 'hits' their sites are receiving. While 'hits' does give a vague
idea as to how much traffic a site is receiving, it is more important to focus on the stat 'visitors'
or even better 'unique visitors'. There is a common misconception that 10 hits = 10 visitors, but
this is not the case. One web page can contain many 'hits', every image, page text,
every file on the web page, they all count as 1 hit each. A website may get over 1,000,000 hits, however
that may equal only 10,000 visitors. For more information and detailed explanations on statistics
definitions please follow the links below. If you have any questions regarding your PWS statistics
